John Finazzo, DO

Dr. John Finazzo earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University. He completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Central Florida’s program in Tallahassee. Throughout his training, Dr. Finazzo focused on providing comprehensive care for the whole person, integrating medication management and psychotherapy, as well as neuromodulation modalities such as TMS and ECT. Dr. Finazzo was born and raised in Sarasota, attended Pine View School, and always planned to return home to care for the community he knows best. 

Dr. Finazzo treats patients ages 13 and up, with a special interest in depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and bipolar disorder. His goal in each appointment is to understand the patient’s story, address their concerns, and offer practical recommendations aligned with their treatment goals. Dr. Finazzo values clear communication and is committed to building long-term relationships that provide steady support as patients’ needs evolve over time.
